Nail Polish Galore!!

Since Katy Perry came out with her black crackle nail polish it has been really popular. China Glaze came out with I think 6 different crackle colors! You can buy them at Sally's beauty supply locally for about 8 bucks. The white (blizzard) is gonna be sooo awesome for Summer just like the black was for Fall! I haven't used it yet, but another blogger Foxy Locks did and I posted her pics of them here. Go follow her, she's AWESOME! http://imogenfoxylocks.blogspot.com/
FYI the trick with all crackle polish is to apply it when your nails are absolutely, completely dry otherwise you don't get a good crack!

These are the 2 I bought! I can't wait to use them!

I don't know if y'all have seen Essie at your local CVS, but I was soo stoked to see them in mine! I got Marshmallow which I didn't take a picture of when I had it on a few weeks ago because it was really sheer, ehh-BUT IM LOVING Sand Tropez! It's what I have on now. I was a bit reluctant to get it first because it reminded me of my Chanel Particuliere, which is a grey taupe more suited for fall. This one is more sandy brown, it's the same color of my new purse too! lol Didn't realize that at the time though =))
See same color of my bag!

Last but not least is the new NARS nail polish in Ecume I picked up at Sephora last minute. It's new for Summer and really lovely. It such a pretty white color without looking like whiteout. I can't wait to put it on my toes! It has gotten really good reviews so far and it's limited so go get yours ladies!

NARS Multiple Stick in Lamu

I LOVE NARS and have lots of products that they sell, but possibly this is one I should have left at the counter for $39 bucks? I want Orgasm to work on my skin tone so bad, but it's a bit too light for me. I even have Super Orgasm blush and the original Orgasm blush, but nothing-still too light! SOOO when I went to try the Multiple stick in Orgasm it was again too light. The sales girl tried this one me in LAMU & it was cute. I wanted to use it as a highlighter on top my cheek bones, but when I looked in the mirror in the car it was full of glittery flecks! Yes I could see them at the counter, but they were way more intense in the car, EKK! I kept it because I'm a sucker for NARS and figured I'd find some use for it. I've been using it on my lips on top lipgloss-it makes a nice topper and I use it as a highlighter when I go out at night.
Go check out the story behind how the multiple was born, really cool!

NARS Beauty Haulin' =]

Add caption
At first glance this NARS blush Taj Mahal $26 looks super orange (don't be scared! lol), but it's actually really beautiful. With all NARS products comes MAJOR pigment which equals awesome color payoff! You only need a teensy bit on your brush to get a pretty golden- shimmery- tangerine color. This looks great on deeper skin tones, but can be worn with a very light application on fairer skin too.  I was a little apprehensive about buying it because I have MAC Peaches blush, but really it's no comparison because Peaches is a flat matte orange/peach without any glimmer, but both give my cheeks such warmth and color =)

When I saw NARS Desperado Nail polish I was in love! It's so gorg! NARS always does really awesome fun nail colors that wear really well chip free. BUT when I got home to put it away I saw that I had this Forever 21 nail polish that I must of picked up last minute in the check out line and never wore. I swear it's the same color! =? wth?
I have a few NARS lippies but this one actually takes the cake! Moonfleet is so pretty on! I would have never picked it from the tube because it does it NO justice-it has pearly flecks of shimmer in it and it's not goopy at all! It's pretty by itself or layered on top of something. It makes my already full lips appear fuller =)

I just wanted share my new purple feathers that my good friend Kelly put in for me-I love!!! they snap in with some sorda bead & a tool to the ends to my hair and I can wash my hair and even flat iron them!

High on Highlighter!

I have been on a highlighter high for a few weeks now and I wanted to share with y'all some of the newer products that I've been using. I'm just gonna go over some quick tips first about highlighting for the newbies =) First just wanna clear up where exactly does the highlight part go?:It goes on the highest part of the cheek right underneath the eye in a semi-C (stay to the outer most area) & down the bridge of the nose, then blush is applied to the apples of the cheeks BLENDED WELL up to the temples, last you can add the contour color which is gonna be 2-3 shades darker than your skin color. I'll blog about contouring later =) One step at a time ladies! lol
sorry, my brush is a bit dirty =-/
It's best to use a creme or liquid highlighter with your fingertips (the best way bc it warms up the product) THEN apply a powder on top to seal it in and make it last all day especially if you have oily skin like myself. The brush I use is MAC's 187 Duo Fiber brush because it doesn't pick up too much product. I smash the bristles together with my fingers to make it flat so I can dab it lightly on top the creme/liquid highlight.
*FYI you can buy makeup brushes at the craft store like Michael's or Gordon's*

The 2 liquid highlighters I use are Stila All Over Shimmer Liquid Luminizer in 3 Gold & Sephora Luminizer in Rose. The Stila one has a nail polish wand like applicator which makes it easy to put on but, the color is a tad too golden for my skin. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Sephora Luminizer because its a cross between a gel and a creme, it's really easy to spread and makes your skin look dewy and luminous. It's actually a base primer- I top it all off with NARS Albatross which is a  powder blush that appears white in the pan, but applies as a finely milled golden sheen. Its MAGICAL! You have to see it in person bc it has beautiful light reflecting particles in it.

Some points to remember:
If you use a creme/liquid you MUST seal it with a powder for it to stay and that goes for blush too.
You can always add a bit of the liquid highlighter to your moisturizer for a quick all over glow.
If you don't have a creme/liquid highlighter you can use moisturizer instead on the area and then use a shimmery eyeshawdow instead as your powder highlight on top. Powder is powder, right?
